Southwestern US landscape calendar: 12"x18" with date grid.
From our farm photographer (and daughter), Raphaelle, of Phae Photography.
For four years now our daughter and farm photographer has been offering calendars featuring her photography.
This coming year's calendar features photography from a trip we took to the Southwest, where the youngest of the Next Step daughters, Hazel, is now pursuing a college degree. As with all our daughters (for those of you who may not know, there are three), Hazel was a contributing member to the farm from a young age. She contributed to her home and to her own sustenance; she gained valuable skills and a mighty work ethic to carry her through in her pursuit of happiness.
I believe that children are our greatest farm product.
As their mother, I am extremely grateful for the opportunities provided by this way of life; a way of life that makes home a place of production versus simply a place of consumption.
This is yet another case for small farms. Food is a product of the farm, as are practical skills, competency, and character. Getting Hazel to college was the impetus for the month-long hiatus we took between mid-August to mid-September.
This calendar is the product of a new chapter in both the life of a young adult and Next Step Produce.
