Beautiful crisp green leaves having prominent stems to be used like celery. Chard is of the same family as spinach and beets, and, like those, contains oxalic acid. Can be used as a substitute in any recipe calling for cooked spinach. Comes with stems of fabulous bright colors!
SIMPLY STEAMED SWISS CHARD:
Simply steam and toss with a dressing of minced garlic, ginger, red pepper flakes, rice vinegar, nama shoyu (substitute with soy sauce, miso, or salt), a touch of honey, and oil of your choice.
