Why Eat Insects?
Eating Insects is a great way to add a powerful protein punch into any meal. You can easily throw a handful of whole-roasted insects into your salad, soup, sandwich, or stew to give it a healthy nutritional boost!
Nutrition
We encourage people to add a small amount of insect protein to their meals throughout the day. Insects are a sustainable superfood and packed with nutritional benefits. Our whole-roasted insects contain 70% protein, more calcium than milk, more iron than spinach, and almost 20 times the amount of B12 as beef. Through a CFIA approved lab, we are waiting on results in order to provide you with complete nutrition labels.
Sustainability
The resources needed to produce 10 grams of insects is 12 times less than the resources required to create 10 grams of beef protein. If a family of 4 ate 1 meal a week using insect protein, they would save the Earth 650,000 litres of fresh water over the span of a year.
Farming
All of our insects are farmed with you in mind. We use high quality grain feed for both organic and regular lines. Our harvesting methods are developed to align with the standards applied for the human food industry with hygiene as a top priority. All inspection and licensing has been attained.
We use a two-step processing system to ensure the safety of the product while maximizing the nutritional benefits and taking into account the most humane methods of euthanization.
Allergen Warning
*If you have a shellfish allergy, you should not eat insects*
